Bacteriostatic Water 10ml (BAC Water) – Sterile Reconstitution Diluent
Bacteriostatic water, commonly called BAC water, is sterile water for laboratory use containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. The preservative suppresses bacterial growth inside the vial, which is why bacteriostatic water is the standard diluent for reconstituting lyophilized (freeze-dried) research peptides when a prepared solution will be drawn from more than once during a study.
